To Glasgow and beyond!

We woke up late the next day, too exhausted by our hike the day before. Since our train was late around 7pm, we decided to walk around Edinburgh and do some shopping.

4 hours of shopping and I managed to get myself 2 tees, 2 pants and 1 shorts for £35! Well, it is summer and there are sales everywhere! Yet, the price goes with the quality hence the cheaper the good are the less your expectations would be of its quality.

We headed back to the apartment ad checked out around 5 something. Having wandered aimlessly we stopped at Princes Garden again for my daily sunbathing routine! Back in Malaysia I would die to avoid the sun but here it's somehow different. The sun isn't that scorching and you don't really feel your skin baking, and the Scottish breeze is really cooling; that explains why everyone is basking under the sun in Scotland!

We bid each other goodbye around 6.45pm and headed to our respective train platforms. Dr Lim's heading back to Newcastle while my destination was Glasgow. The train ride was smooth and I reach Glasgow after 90 minutes.

Glasgow gave me a different set of vibes; it lacked Edinburgh's regency and poshness as its a modern city famous for Charles MacKintoshes' avant garde designs back then.

I was totally exhausted and dropped dead almost immediately on my bed after I checked in glasgow's Eurohostel for £16 in a 16 bedded dorm. I felt living in a prison or slavehouse or something, and I had to hear with angmohs who sweat like a cow but do not bathe before bed! Arrgh!!!
